Old Spice was formed partially in reaction to the growing prominence of the Rudder Lubbers, a number of the older crews in Azure chose to band together to take an island for their own. Old Spice was most notable for its colonization effort: unbeknownst to the rest of the ocean, all colonization supplies were floated to Guava (mostly by Frederico and Rifkind) prior to the opening of the islands in Emerald. As an island, Azure Guava carried this momentum forward throughout the ocean's existence, and the island remained one of the most popular. Having all supplies in place before colonization became standard practice after this.
Due to political differences between the rest of the flag and Rifkind, and her choice of making a deal with Black Death which allocated them several shops on Guava and upset many older shoppe owners and crews in the flag, Old Spice was not reformed on the Midnight Ocean. From its ashes rose Midnight Armada and Nyx's Scions, both in the Midnight Ocean.
